How to make hot lemon water

Ingredients

1- Lemon Mint Water

  • 3-4 slices lemon
  • 3 sprigs mint
  • 8 oz water

2- Lemon Ginger Water:

  • 3-4 slices lemon
  • 3 slices fresh ginger root (1/4″ slices with skin on)
  • 8 oz water

3- hot lemon water

  • ½ slices 1/2 lemon
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • cup boiling water

4- lemon honey water

  • ½ slices lemon
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • ½ cup hot water

5- lemon ginger honey water

  • 2 slices organic lemon, washed, sliced thin, seeds removed
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp Raw or local honey
  • 8 cup Nearly boiling water*

Instructions

1- Lemon Mint Water

  • To a large glass add fresh lemons slices, mint and water. (muddle the mint a little if you’d like to really taste the mint flavor) Drink.

2- Lemon Ginger Water

  • To a large glass add fresh lemons slices, ginger slices and water.Drink.

3- Hot lemon water

  • In a glass, squeeze lemon juice with hand held lemon reamer or glass lemon juicer reamer. Discard seeds if necessary.

  • Add water, stir and drink while warm.

4- lemon honey water

  • Put honey and lemon juice into a tea cup or mug. Add hot water and stir.

  • Add more lemon juice, honey, or hot water to taste.

5- lemon ginger honey water

  • Add lemons and ginger to the bottom of your favorite cup.
  • Pour hot water into the cup.
  • Stir in honey as desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. To make hot water, I usually mix boiling water from the kettle (I hope you have one ?!) and filtered water from the fridge.
  2. Another option is to turn the kettle off before boiling it in water. You just have to wait by the kettle and close it on time.
  3. Temperature note: Adding raw honey to boiling water will defy some of the most important health-related properties.
  4. When preparing this recipe, wait until the water cools down comfortably before stirring in your honey to assure you have reclaimed all of your available honey (about 180 ° F).
