 soya chana masala curry ingredient-

  1. Kabuli chana (chickpea white gram)         1 cup soaked
  2. Mini Soya chunks                           1/2 cup 
  3. chopped onions                             1/2 cup 
  4. chopped tomatoes                           1cup 
  5. Turmeric powder-                           1/2 teaspoon
  6. Cumin seeds-                               1/2 teaspoon 
  7. Ginger-garlic paste-                       1 teaspoon
  8. Red chilli powder-                         1 teaspoon
  9. Coriander-cumin seed powder                1 1/2 teaspoons
  10. Garam masala powder-.                      1 teaspoon 
  11. Dry fenugreek leaves (Kasturi methi)       1 teaspoon
  12. Soybean refined Oil                        2 teaspoons
  13. Salt as per taste 

To decorate for soya chana masala-

  1. coriander leaves-                          1/4 cup chopped
  2. green chili-                               1 chopped

How to make soya chana masala-


  • Mix soya Kabuli chana with 3/4 cup of water, mini soy chunks, turmeric powder, and salt and cook it in a pressure cooker until 3 whistles come.
  • Remove from the heat, filter and separate the water. Keep the chickpea chickpeas and mini soya chunks separately.
  • Heat the soybean refined oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds.
  • When the seeds start crackling, add ginger-garlic paste and onion and fry them till they become light brown. 
  • Chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander-cumin seed powder, garam masala powder,
  • Add Kasturi methi and 1/4 cup of water and cook till the oil separates.
  • Now add cooked Kabuli chana, mini soya chunks and salt and stir well.
  • Mix. Cook it on low heat for another 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot garnished with coriander and green chillies.
